However you do need to remember that Brittany’s are working dogs that require regular daily exercise in the open air. Failure to give them this will result in their hyperactivity and destructiveness. Because of this, you need to think about the time you can devote to your dog, not just taking it for walks, but playing with your dog, training it and stimulating it mentally and physically. Due to the mild nature of the Brittany you also must ensure that your manner matches the dog, harsh training and disciplining can cause your dog to be fearful. Being able to devote this amount of time to your new addition, without being overly harsh, is one of the key questions that you should be asking when trying to make your choice.
