My 8 month old springer gets 4 walks per day and always poo,s on each walk. I have recently changed his food to James Wellbeloved hoping this will make a difference.

We feed our springers blue buffalo. Very good food and they seem to go good on it

poop deck NEW

Does he poo lots or just assume the position? We had one springer Cali that would poo a couple times during a walk and then keep trying 4 or 5 more times but not much came out on the last ones. Her sister went once and was done. We now have brothers and one acts like Cali and the other Hobbes. If I he poos lots then it's think it's too much food. It always amazes me how much I know about my dogs bathroom habits...

springer poo NEW

I have put my rottie on a mostly raw food diet and she poos so much less. My springer can't tolerate it, he has a very sensitive stomach, so I feed him James Wellbeloved or Burns and he is fit and healthy and not fat - but still poos about 3 times on a walk, as well as in the garden before he goes out! I will go back to the raw diet for him, a very little at a time, to see if he can tolerate it that way

Poo NEW

What do you feed him? Commercial dry dog food causes more poo than canned. Ingredients of dog food can also cause more or less poo.

I home cook for my dogs. Their meals vary between chicken or turkey with veggies and liver with veggies. Good food equals good digestion equals less poo. My dogs have one small bowel movement each day.
