Biting Springer Spaniel

by Leanne
(Bangor, NI)

Our English Springer Spaniel is seven months old this month. She is fairly lively and at the moment is eating everything in the garden and at home. When she doesn't get her own way for example when I try to stop her from eating a whicker basket by standing in front of it and saying off, she will then attempt to nip me, my leg or top I am wearing. Is there anything you can suggest.

Hi there
When they do this you let out a huge yelp - I used to use ayeeeeeeeeeee! stand up and turn you back on them and walk away. That way they associate that behaviour with loss of attention. Keep doing that and you will see a change in her behaviour

Good luck
