Cal the Springer Spaniel

Cal at Pulpit Rock Overlook
He's the best dog ever. I almost hate to call him a dog because he's been like a best friend. He is why I have a smile on my face most days. When I'm not working, it's Cal and I.
We do alot of walking! This summer, I introduced him to fishing. He really enjoys it. He keeps an eye on the rod and on the water very close to see if he can beat Me to our catch.
Cal has a basket full of toys too, which he likes to take turns carrying on walks. Everyone seems to enjoy it when they see how serious he is about it.
On the funnier side, Cal is a really good communicator, at least in his own way. He isn't much of a barker and is super patient, but if he wants something really bad, then he will do this little thing where he starts breathing a little heavier and if he gets no response, he will sort of whine very, very low but You almost have to bend Your ear to hear it.
When we ride in the car together although there isn't allot of room, he will sit up front for Me. He lays his head down on the counsel and stares up at Me with his big brown eyes as if not wanting to miss a second of the time we share.
He loves everyone and although it can be tough, he try's especially hard to be a good Boy, even with that nose.Return to Your Springer Spaniel PicturesReturn to Love Springer Spaniels Homepage
