Can Springer Spaniels get along with chickens?

Is there anyway that a Springer Spaniel can be trained to get along with chickens

From Anna@love-springer-spaniels.com

Hi Dave
Springers and CHickens can get along but the road to gettin there can be tricky. Springers love to chase birds its in their DNA but with training and desensitising your springer can get along with birds.

Start by making sure your chickens are safe behind the wire and bring out your springer and let him sniff around. Distract and reward him with food. Keep doing this little and often everyday and hopefully he will soon take no notice

Good Luck

Springers and Chickens
by: Anonymous

Our springer was 2 years old when we got our first chicks and ducklings. I think having them from babies helped, she got used to going out to feed them every night, and she has never tried to attack them. Peaceful co-habitation going on 1 year now :)
