My youngest Springer, Sadie is very routined. I get up at 5:00 AM during the week. She will be sitting up in her crate giving me the stare down at 4:55 PM ! If for some reason I don't get out of bed at precisely 5:00 she will start 'talking'. They are a riot. Though my husband doesn't have to be up until 6:00 and he doesn't always find the Springer Talk to be amusing!

Oh, Yuck! I'm originally from Wisconsin (Somerset-Apple River) - yup, the rats can be huge!!
We have 2, also. They are the best, and provide endless hours of entertainment with their antics. Cassy's (the diva) latest thing - she barks at hubby who is sitting in his chair. He gets up wondering what she is barking at, and as soon as he gets up, she jumps up in his chair!

Cash sounds like the perfect companion. Aren't they fun? Never a dull moment. Emma's latest trick is to bring me my robe when she wants me to get up in the morning. Springers are so intelligent, it is scary. I love the name Cash.
I think it is so interesting to hear of different names. Cash is a cool name for a cool dog.

Springers are great dogs, aren't they? I have two and I don't know what I'd do without them.....well maybe one of them anyway!
Your rat story reminds me of my Rottweiler. He caught a rat in the yard and had the entire thing in his mouth except for about 1" of it's tail! I tried everything to get him to drop it, but he swallowed it - whole and alive! It was disgusting! Anyway, he was a great dog too and has long since passed. Now we have Springers.
