Change in springer spaniel behaviour

Our springer spaniel has and still is generally really well behaved but recently he has started scratching doors and trying to get out of anywhere we put him.

At night we have always left him in the hall with a stair gate up or in the kitchen but he starts crying now in the early hours of the morning. He has also worked out how to get the stair gate down and if he is in the kitchen he scratches at the door. Not sure what has gone wrong. He gets lots of little walks each day plus one hours walk or more.

Any ideas?

Thats a tricky one, springer spaniels are a persistent bunch!!!

I am not sure I can offer any great words of wisdom, but I will post this aroud and hope we can get you some advice.

BTW I am Bristol Based, I am always walking George in Ashton Court.
