Change in springer spaniel behaviour

by Heidi
(Bristol)

Our springer spaniel has and still is generally really well behaved but recently he has started scratching doors and trying to get out of anywhere we put him.

At night we have always left him in the hall with a stair gate up or in the kitchen but he starts crying now in the early hours of the morning. He has also worked out how to get the stair gate down and if he is in the kitchen he scratches at the door. Not sure what has gone wrong. He gets lots of little walks each day plus one hours walk or more.

Any ideas?

Wanting your love
by: Gary

we crated our Ruby until 7 months old. Now we have a bed for her at the end of our bed. Yes she wants to join us. But strick rules in our house. She stays off our bed. She's almost 1 now. Everything works well. I think, Springers just need more attention than other dogs do. I've own Huskie,Retiever,Lab, Springer's are a whole different breed. Our Ruby grabs her Kong every morning wanting her peanutbutter. After two scoops. She's a happy tail wagger.
