I have a 13 wk old male springer spaniel called Charlie, he is gorgous a bit nippy but we are trying to get that in order, hes laid nagging on his super sized chew bone as I type, somthing we have purchased to keep him occupied lol.

He loves his walks, I've not been able to get him out as much as I would of like with all the bad snow weve been getting here in the North East! Cant wait for him to be out of the nipping stage so I can lots of cuddle without the fear of his biting me and so my little girls can stroke him and give him cuddles.

Bob, my springer is now 15 months and since day one, when he gets very excited we have just put our hand up infront of him and said, "calm" and that has always worked.
They are a bundle of fun, enjoy!

nipper

we have max now 14 weeks old, if he starts to get excited we put him in the kitchen and close the door for a few minutes. this does seem to work he comes back in alot calmer, have read on the net certian dog food can make the pup hyper so we have been logging when he nips or gets over excited to see if it could be the food. keep him entertained max now sits lies and rolls over on command. great dog cant fault him with the kids and excellent with 6 month old neice(closely watched at all times)
