I want to thank you all for your wonderful and heartfelt comments. Although Charlie passed a little over 3 months ago, it feels as though it just happened yesterday. She was with us for 14 years, and the house seems so empty now, however, little Nellie Spaniel is filling the void nicely. My daughter and I have lots of fun with her.

Yes, I have shed numerous tears over losing my Charlie, however because of video, we are left with many goood and precious memories of her. And, to try to fill the void left by Charlie's passing, we now have a 2 1/2 month old springer pup, I have named her Nellie. I will post a photo of her soon. She is quite a handfull....she loves "swimming" in her waterbowl, and loves spilling her food. She sleeps with us in bed, actually, ON us. She is great fun and we are actually looking forward to years of mischief from her.

Hi, Betsy -
It is a huge loss to lose a doggie - especially a springer. Just try to remember all the fun times and all you did for Charlie. The tears will come for quite a long time, even if you get another one.
We lost our first springer, Yogurt, in July, 2005. She was 13 yrs old. I still try, even tho' we have 2 new springers that we got from springer rescue. Cassy & Sam don't take the place of Yogurt, but they add alot to our lives. Cassy basically "rescued" us from the loss and despair over losing Yogurt.
Will be thinking of you and your family!

So Sorry by: Anonymous
I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious Charlie. Our Casey is almost 11 years old and watching her age is not easy. I dread the day she can't go on any longer, but for now she's doing well, just a little slower and harder of hearing! Or is she?!
Charlie was a challenge, but these are the very things that touched your heart and gave you some funny memories.
