Crazy Springer Spaniel Puppy

So I have a Female 5 month old English Springer Spaniel and she is constantly jumping up and biting like crazy. I love her to death but I can't handle it anymore. The kids I am babysitting basically get mauled when we let her out to play. She pick one kid and jumps and bites them until they start to cry and we have to put her away because she is sooooo rough with them. I have tried everything I could think of by myself and just have no more ideas. She wont ever look me in the eye but when I call her she is very good at coming back and she know how to sit. I cant get her to come back if she has a toy in her mouth though... And ideas to help me with my puppy??

I have the exact same issue!!! NEW
by: Anonymous

Mine is 18 weeks old and does the same exact thing except mine is male. We have seen two trainers now with little results. I have spent countless amounts of monies trying to correct this problem. It started with me but now has stopped and now he's doing it to my husband. Trainer says they are bully puppies trying to get their own way. Keep him off ALL furniture and do not let him jump on you for any reason. Trainer claims once he knows his place this will cease. Although we have seen little results. Keep the leash on her for awhile so you can pull her off kids and tell her no. We're at a loss here as well. We even tried a pinch type collar to no avail. Neuter will happen the 10th of this month and if doesn't get better he goes back to breeder.
Just this am husband got up and he got him in the hand and left him bleeding AGAIN!!!

Puppy NEW
by: Michele

Puppies can be crazy, especially Springers! Find a good obedience class in your area. Normally any type of dog club or boarding kennel offers reasonably priced classes. You will be very surprised at how much you learn! And how much your puppy's manners will improve. Good luck!
