Discoloration of Springer Spaniel fur

Our springer all of a sudden started with a patch of fur which is pinkish in color. this is on her left leg in a white area of fur. We do not see her licking the area. cannot see any change to her skin. what could this be.

My springers both have a pinkish fur in spots. My vet told me it was from them swimming in the pool ALL the time. Lizzie has it under her neck and down to her legs. I have had them to the vet for it and there is nothing wrong. Basically, vet said it is what it is.

You may find that there is an irritation there and they are licking it, or it could be a sign of mites.

Your best bet is you are unsure is to get it checked with a vet.
