English Springer Spaniels and Seasons

Hi my ESS bitch first had her season at around 10 months old and she's now 1 year and 7 months, basically I'm concerned she hasn't started her second season yet any advice?

my springer is 7 months old im worried as evertime she has been asleep when she wakes up she limps like her back legs hurt, are springers known to have trouble with their back legs???

My ESS bitch is now 21 months and has just this week come into "season" for the 2nd time. Her 1st was at 10 months so i wouldnt be concerned.
Like Yourself We had started to become a bit worried as we expected it sooner but i think each Dog is different and it isnt always equal months from the first to the 2nd and so on.

we plan on breeding our bitch with our Handsome big hairy male so hopefully the hassle of keeping them seperated these last two "seasons" will be worth it when we have some lovely pups next time around.


As a side note :I would recommend having any bitch dressed that You dont plan breeding from for any other reason than producing prime specimens of the breed, there are plenty of Dogs in Kennels that need a Home including ESS.
