Fleas on our springers ears!!

by Emma Barker
(Co Donegal, Ireland)

Hi, I rescued an English Springer Spaniel 10 days ago and he came with a lot of fleas, I have managed to flea his body but the ears are proving to be very difficult. There are still eggs on them and when I pull the hair apart to see the skin there are fleas all around the edge of the ears. The flea comb I bought is very fine toothed and works well on the body but is useless on the ears. I was wondering if there are any tips or products specially designed for the ears, as I want to get this under control ASAP!!

Fleas NEW
by: Michele

Fleas can be very difficult to get rid of because they lay tons of eggs every few days. Do you have flea prevention in Ireland? We have medications for that and they work very well. I use Trifexis on my dogs. There are several kinds. Ask you Vet. And you really want to get the fleas under control because you'll start noticing them in your house and next thing you know humans are being bitten to!
