Ginger a Welsh Springer Spaniel!

Ginger is a seven year old female Welsh Springer spaniel.

Deciding her name was a bit of a process because we are a very opinionated family. Before we got her we created a list of all are favorite dog names. My older brothers who were into rap music at the time wanted to name the dog Snoop after Snoop Dog the raper. I wanted the name Fresca like the soda. Are family friend was over at our house and knew that we were looking for a good name for our dog so he suggested the name Ginger Bread. At the end my Aunt called the names out the door as if she were calling the dog to come inside of the house. We narrowed the final two names to Fresca and Ginger. My aunt called out the two names again and Ginger just had a ring to it.

Ginger might be seven years old but she acts like a puppy. If you call her name she will come running and do her army crawl. She always ready for a car ride no matter what temperature she just wants to be around her family. If you say the word bird and whistle she goes crazy looking for birds, she will jump up on the window sill wagging her short little tail. Ginger isnt a show dog but she does do the fun dog show where she has won 2 years in a row for best tail wagger although her tail is only 4 inches long.
Gingers favorite activities are going swimming in the pool or in a lake, riding on my dads boat, getting her hair brushed, playing in the snow with her brother, and chasing birds.

Ginger is by far the sweetest dog ever and her name really suits her.
