Giving my Springer Spaniel ice cubes
My Springer Spaniel is allergic to what seems like everything. He is on a prescription dog food and can't have treats. The other day I was getting some ice water and an ice cube fell on the floor.
My dog dove for it thinking it was food and gobbled it up. I gave him a couple more and he really seemed to enjoy them - both eating it and playing with it as it slipped off his tongue. But I've heard that ice cubes aren't the best for dogs...and I've also heard they're fine. What's the deal?
