How often should I walk my Spaniel?

I have a five month old Springer Spaniel and live in a town. I'm not sure how often and for how long i should walk her. Also, she tugs a lot on her lead, how can I get her to walk nicely on her lead? Thanks!

Hi there Springers need alot of exercise, failure to give this to them they become very tightly wound and this can lead to behavioral problems.
As your pup is still small and the bones are still soft and developing you need to walk her little and often. I would say 20 min 2-3 times a day. This should also be built in with obedience training, I would recommend about 4 10 minute sessions a day (little and often is key here) and of course play time which will reinforce your bond together.

As for pulling on the lead, I know how you feel. Springers are notorious at walking on the lead, I still struggle with George, they do get so excited about going out. However read this section and it should help
