Never NEW

I am sure this is not something that you want to hear but please do not breed your dog! There are so many unwanted puppies and older dogs out there, we have Esra and other springer rescues just because people want to breed their dog for the wrong reasons. Unless you already have a home for each puppy please do not breed your dog. Also do not breed your dog unless you are all about making sure that your dog is ok to breed, like her family line has no medical issues and that the male doesnt have any family lines of medical issues. Please do NOT breed your dog!

her 3rd season would probably be best, this will probably be when she is about 2 to 2.5yrs of age, she'll be fully grown and be able to cope with the stress of having pups.

Breed a Female NEW
by: Cathy Hatfield

For her own good, and that of her progeny, she should be at least 18 months. At this age she can have had hip x rays to insure that
she doesn't have any problems that can be passed down the line.
Do you know the health and line of her parents ? How about their, and her temperment, and that of the potential sire? There are many angles to consider before going into this. They are the cutest puppies in the world and impossible not to fall in love with, but its up to you to make sure that they have the best possible chance at a healthy start.

You should wait until at least 2 years of age. Your bitch should be fully developed before having pups. You should have her hips and eyes cleared to ensure they are good before breeding as well.
