how old is too old to spay your springer spaniel?

I have an 8-year-old female English Springer Spaniel. We adopted her last year and have gone through two cycles of heat with her.

The first wasn't bad, the second time was like having 10 hormonal teenagers in the house. How old is too old to spay Roxy?

If she was in a rescue centre they would spay her before they would let her be adopted, so go with what your vet says, but she isn't very old yet

I had my ten year old spayed this year after a phantom pregnancy. She had to be spayed to stop infections in her womb .

have a word with your vet,he could recommend it because she could be at risk of something called pyometra (build up of pus in the womb)or if she is healthy and you can cope with the cicles he might suggest you carry on as you are.
making sure she doesnt escape when in season,,
this is just my own thought,,
