I cant get my springer to eat

I have a 5 year old sringer who has always been a big eater, for the past few days wont eat, ive tryed everything , tryed changeing his food, tryed feeding him from hand, from a plate, in differnt places around the house, but still nothing. he doesnt seem ill hes still running around and playing eating, hes toileting is fine to. But I just dont no what to do now and many people have said just to leave him hell eat when hes hungry.

hey everyone ive finally got him to eat, after taking him to the vets, theyve said to feed him on a bland deit, chicken and rice and only give a small amount of biscuits, which hes loveing. thank you for your help :)

Don't wait. Get to the vet. Most dogs have a high pain threshold and you often don't know something is wrong until it's really bad.

Is he drinking water? You don't want him to become dehydrated. You say he's going potty...do you notices any changes in that...such as, does he seem to have a hard time urinating or is his stool loose or bloody? That can be an indication of a couple of things like eating something he shouldn't have. Do you give rawhide bones? Five days without food is getting to be a problem. I'd definitely have the Vet take a look at him.

I'd be taking your dog to the vet asap, springer's are famous for eating things they shouldnt. could be something that's internal so not obvious.
i've never known a springer to refuse food, if one of mine didnt react to the sound of a crisp packet i'd be worried lol
