Karens love of Springer Spaniels

(Dublin, Ireland)

I had a springer named Molly from 13 weeks old to 12 and a 1/2 years. Unfortunately we had to put her to sleep 4 days ago. She was part of the family and we had many many years of great fun with her. Molly was brilliant when my two boys came along and they too absolutely loved her. Molly permanently had a tennis ball in her mouth which was her favourite toys and we always wondered how many we went through over the years. She also did the "Crab Walk" as we called it, she did this after a long walk when tired - her back legs would nearly be level with her front legs. Molly kept my husband fit and wore the wheels off the kids buggy with all the walks she got. She loved the local park and was in and out of every muddy ditch she could find. Molly was a fabulous dog and we all loved her very much and I know I will eventually stop crying as I miss her so much. I have stuch photos of her everywhere.

I came across this site yesterday and I have to say it is great. I intend getting another springer next year and have found some very useful information. THe pictures and videos are lovely and have been helpful to the kids. It has also been nice to be able to share Molly with other people

So sorry for ur sad loss, and i really do mean that . On 23rd of Jan i will be remembering my Dilly ( is on Springer memorial page) who died 1 year ago.
I have tears in my eyes as i am typing this remembering my beautiful beautiful girl that i still miss like she was here yesterday. We never forget them and i take comfort that one day we will be reunited again when i too cross.
I have now got MisterDarcy my 11 month boy spaniel who i love to bits and know that we will grow even closer over the years,so yes and u will feel so much better when u have yet another lovely spaniel. Once u have had one u just can't help wanting another . Best wishes to u and a hug at this sad time x

I'm so sorry to hear of Molly's passing. Funny, how our pets mean so much to us, particularly Springers! My Casey will be 12 next month. Over the past year I have noticed her aging and I am dreading the day she will leave us. I know we will face many sad days.

I'm glad to know you plan on another Springer because as sad our losing our beloved dogs is, a new puppy can make things so much better.
