My 7 week old springer puppy is timid

She is good I am slowly potty training her, I praise her and say all the loving stuff, then she just Runs back into her caged area and flops down on the bed, I have to pick her up for everything trying to get her to come to me she just stares and then runs right passed me after potty breaks. I am really good with her etc, I just want to stop this from being a typical behavior can you give me some advice to help

I Think It Takes Time NEW
by: Rebecca

I adopted a 10-month-old springer who was abandoned and left to starve in south Florida (Miami area). We drove down to get "Molly" and she is still struggling to have confidence and love with us.....It's only been 10 days since we adopted her.
I think the keywords to new things for Springers is patience and encouragement. Maybe if you bought a doggie bed that was comfortable for her.....this might help? I'm starting to understand the complexities and challenges that come with this wonderful breed.
Best of luck and please keep things posted as how your springer is doing.
