My female Springer Spaniel pees everywhere!!!!

Lovely 5 month female Springer Spaniel, she is very well behaved and was very quick to house train.

A couple of weeks ago she has started peeing in the house when either myself or my hubby come in the door, when too playful, or when we put her lead on to go out for a walk (she loves her walks)

Looked this up on internet and some say it is submisive behaviour and nothing to do with house training. Will she grow out of it or is there anything I can do to stop this, she is otherwise a fantastic wee dog, very friendly and happy around people and other dogs.

It does sound like submissive behaviour, which means she sees you as the boss. She will probably grow out of it as she gets older, otherwise I am not sure as to what to suggest, but maybe one of our members can help.

When my Millie dog was your dogs age she did this habit too. Springer bladder is what the vet called it. What we did was take her out more often when we thought she might get too excited and have and accident. When we got home from work we would have the leash in hand open door and greet her outside on deck. This actually stopped it all together inside when we came home. She did not want to pee until she met us first, and when we wouldn't greet her until we walked outside she stopped peeing at the door. When excitement happens like a new person coming in or a visit to groomers or vets she would still dribble till she got about 5 years old. They really have no control over it until they get older. So best of luck. My Millie was a wonderful Springer and we miss her so much, enjoy these years they go by so fast.

My Emma, is two years old, she had that problem, too. It has gotten better as she has gotten older. She can "hold it" for 10 or 11 hours, if she has to, but when she gets excited..she now just dribbles a little. My vet calls it Springer Bladder.
