One way to stop your Springer from growling at you
by Georgie Taylor
Shelly our 5 year old springer
Although you should normally leave a dogs bed alone as it is known to them as being their "safe zone" if your springer starts to growl at you or become aggressive one way to teach them that's not the right behavior is to go and stand in their bed or even sit down in their bed.
because this shows you to be the alpha in the pack, but it should only be done if the your springer is continuously growling at you. If it is only growling at you on occasion then simply lower the tone of you voice, get down to its level and say "who are you growling at" after this get up and walk away.
We having been doing this with both our spingers and now they don't growl or become aggressive towards us.
WARNING: this will not change your spaniels cheeky active attitude towards life!
