Puppy Digestive System




Hi There,
I was hoping you could help me out with a question I have regarding my English Springer Spaniel Puppy?

We are currently trying to house train our new Springer Spaniel Puppy but we need to time taking him out for his post food poo.

SO my query is long after eating, should it take for the puppy to need to have a bowel movement?

At the moment I take him out straight away but nothing happens, then I go upstairs and he does it downstairs.

I would really appreciate your input on this?

Usually about 1/2 hour after eating puppies are ready to poop! Puppies younger than 3 months don't realize they need to potty until it happens, so your best bet is to get a routine down for house breaking and stick to it.
