I don't know Rosie but I all ready love her. What a face!
We purchased Maggie with no plans to do so. We owned nothing for a dog, so we had to shop in a hurry. My husband and I went out of town to a sporting goods store and breeders were set up in the parking lot with their puppies for sale. Many other breeds were there, but only one breeder with English Springers. We had lost our 13 year old Cocker Spaniel who was the love dog of our life. Fifteen years later we brought Maggie home. She's been a challenge for me because I knew nothing about the breed, other than they are beautiful dogs. I can't say I love being a dog owner with all it's required energies, messes from dog food and mud, but I love Maggie. Maggie gives spontaneous kisses and loves to play. She apologizes when I'm upset with her. I've never seen a dog apologize. Maggie will come before me and sit down, as if to say, " Can we talk?" She still play bites and at 10 months, I'm concerned she will play bite into adulthood. Sometimes I have to give her time out in the bathroom or raise my voice as I stop playing. It is then she will come to me and apologize. How adorable! I'm sure you have wonderful stories to tell about Rosie. Enjoy!

Pawprints by: Michelle
I had a cute thought come to mind just this morning while reading the comments. Springers (especially in their golden years) leave muddy prints on our kitchen floors and pawprints in our hearts forever. God Bless Mulligan and Casey and Kessey too : )
We have an 11 y/o basset girl named Millie that we adopted as a playmate for Kessey when she too was in those golden years. Now Millie is the s-l-o-w, sleepy, wrinkly, white faced old girl and Rosie is too much like a Tazmanian Devil : ) They are complete opposites. The calm before the storm. The yin to the yan. Ever try walking a basset AND a springer? LOL!
Rosie definitely has kept Millie young. Not a day goes by that I don't hear the playful snarling, the blur of Rosie bolting down the hallway, leaping the long way over Millie! Rosie can run 55 times as fast and fly over Millie like a breeze on a windy day!
Oh for the love of our furkids : )
Thanks for the comments!

Isn't It Easy to Fall in Love with a Springer by: Liz
What a beautiful story that you have written about Rosie. My first Springer,Mulligan, will be 14 in two weeks. I know that in the near future she will be crossing the Rainbow Bridge, so I decided to get her a little friend to play with her for awhile. That's when we saw the ad in the paper for Springer pups. I also was just going to look. When I saw Brogue, I knew that she would be a good friend for Mulligan in her golden years. She has brought a lot of enjoyment to Mulligan and our whole family.

Rosie by: Michele
She is adorable! You know, you can never go and 'just look' at a puppy!
I'm sorry about your Kessey. We have two Springers; Casey is 11 and Sadie is 2. I see Casey becoming an old dog and my heart breaks at the thought of losing her. I know that will be a very sad day for us, but for now we enjoy her sweetness, love & especially her calm. Our Sadie is like the Tazmanian Devil!
I'm glad you found Rosie to make your heart whole again. : )
