Sadie the English Springer Spaniel with her Rabbit
by Joan Hewett
(Pope valley ca)
She is an adoptee and an amputee. She was found with a broken leg, no tags, no claimant, so the vet amputated her leg and rehab her in the clinic.
After about two months they put her up on the local rescue site. I had 2 springers before ,the first named SADIE! When I got divorced it was a big mess and adopted out my male to a very kind gentleman who was in love with him on the phone even before taking him home! That was a painful time.
So I wanted to pay it forward and adopt another dog. When I saw that the vet had named this dog SADIE serendipitously I had to have her. I have had her now about 10 years now and I am her world, possessive, and darn cute.
She runs, swims, chases my house rabbit, steals birds that the cat has killed and shows them off, steals food from the rabbit cage and is a naughty little old girl! Very vocal. I love her so much!Return to Your Springer SpanielsReturn to Love Springer Spaniels Homepage
