Springer Constantantly barking when left
Hi there, we have a 7 month old springer spaniel,Bella, who we take to training classes every weekend and have done since she was 5 months old. She is walked every day and we use the tricks we have learnt from her training session to keep her mentally stimulated at home. The problem we are having is that she continuously barks when we leave her at home alone (which recently hasn't been very often as the neighbours have complained continously to the point where we're too afraid to leave her for fear of upsetting them) and even when we did leave her, it would only be for short periods as I am a full time Mum/Housewife. We invested in a spray collar to run alonside her training classes as a quick fix to stop the neighbours complaining .... Bella barks until the collar is empty and then carries on barking. We have filmed her whilst we have been out for short spells and she doesnt settle at all. She is always very anxious and runs from the front room, to the kitchen, out into the garden (she has a dog flap) and back again, constantly barking. We have looked into behaviourists which are very expensive for a 3/4 hours visit, and wondered if anyone had the same trouble and what you would advise. She has even started doing it at home now if I leave her downstairs whilst I'm upstairs in the bath (mainly because she likes to jump in) or if I'm getting my son ready. Any helful tips or advice would be greatly received.
