We watch our pup close and she has been doing really well with crate/ potty training but will not bark or whine when she needs to go outside potty like she does when in crate. Any help/ suggestions? Thank you. She is 10 weeks old no

Bells on the doorknob NEW
by: Anonymous

The trick with the bells on the back door knob really does work! However our 12 week old pup now hits it whenever he needs to go potty or wants to go outside to play. Still, better then him going in the house!

House breaking NEW
by: Michele

She is still pretty young to start 'verbalizing' what she needs. One trick I did with my Springer was to hang a small windchime by the back door. Every time I took her our I would jingle the windchime and then take her paw and hit the chime. After a few weeks she figured it out and she'd go to the back door and tap the windchime with her nose or paw whenever she wanted to go out.
