Springer Puppy resuscitated at birth... issues?

by Keir Ramsey

Hi,

My fiancee and I have put our names down for a puppy with a breeder who has a litter of 9. The puppies are 6 weeks old so we went for a visit to see what they were like. My partner fell in love with a girl who the breeder said had to be resused at birth. I am wondering if anyone has any experience in this respect? The puppy seemed absolutely healthy and happy, and was running around just fine.

I am worried that perhaps the pup might have some brain damaged caused by the lack of air which could affect her. It seems a little shallow, but we do have a choice and I want to make sure that its all ok. Is there anything I should look out for?

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Keir

Lazarous
by: Cathy /Ireland

Hi

My Brother in law has a Boxer who was almost purnoounced dead at birth and she is now 12 years old - years of fun health and no signs of brain damage - they called her Lazarous !!!

Best of luck - springer puppies are wild but lots of fun !!!

Cathy
