	Springer Spaniel Pulling on the lead by Jane (Herts) We have two problems with our 6 month old English springer Molly. The first is that she is a complete nightmare on the lead. She can walk around the house and garden to heel, but as soon as we go through the front door or gate she pulls like mad - to get somewhere (anywhere) and especially if she sees a bird. This is problem two. She loves chasing birds, and when off the lead will run far and fast after them, until eventually she notices she's lost us, when she will recall. When not after birds, recall and general obedience is good.We know we need to get her to pay attention to us - but when we are outside, she's much too distracted by whatever is around her to pay attention to us - even for liver.
