Springer Spaniel showing aggression over his food

my springer alfie who is two years old still growls when eating if he is touched, I have tryed making him sit and wait taking away his food then giving it back but it has not worked. what am I doing wrong?

He doesn't see you as the Alpha. Try feeding him by hand. If he doesn't act the way you want him to, stop feeding him until his next regular feeding. If he performs as you want him to, praise him while you are feeding him. He'll figure it out soon enough. Good luck!
