Springer Spaniel with war wounds

hi folks....one of my springers has somehow managed to leap off 10ft forest crags without injury to the legs or neck and then 2 weeks ago happened to dawdle on something in the park which split his paw open....he's got 18 staples in it..its really bad...he's not been allowed out for the last 2 weeks and its driving him stir crazy..... any ideas from people how long he will be housebound (based on similar case?) my vet is alluding the subject...and my dog is increasingly becoming peeeeed off when I take his sister out without him...he dont understand bless him !

Foot injury
by: Michele

If the injury is to the pad part of his foot it could take a few weeks. The pad portion of the foot is difficult to heal for obvious reasons.

If the injury is just a laceration then 2 weeks time should be about right for healing. If there is another issue, besides a cut, such as a pulled muscle / torn ligament, then it could certainly take longer.

Foot injuries are tough because, obviously, they are used so much!
