Rosie Posie Puddin Pie
by Michelle R. McKendree
(Vestal, New York)
Rosie Posie Puddin Pie
Ok, so it's Rosie for short!
I never thought, in a million years, that my heart could be filled with such love again. Rosie came to us exactly one year after we lost our very first Springer Spaniel Kessey.
Kessey filled our home, our lives, our hearts with that unconditional love that only a Springer Spaniel can bring. It was devastating when we had to help our beloved girl Kessey cross the Rainbow Bridge at the young age of 12.
I cried for literally months. There was a hole in my heart that ached and I never thought I could love that way again...
In comes Rosie : )
There was a small ad in our local newspaper. "Springer Pups" followed by a phone number. 2 tiny simple words. Nothing more. I made the call and kept promising myself that I would NOT make a haste decision. We would just "go look."
Well, that was my first "mistake". The very moment the breeder carried that last remaining puppy out of her kennel and placed her in my arms, I wept like a baby. Her big, soft, black eyes, her cold, wet button nose, the incessant wiggly springer butt; it was literally love at first sight. My husband laughed and reached for his wallet.
It has been one whole year already and I cannot find the words to express the love I have for that girl. She is pure Springer energy and enthusiasm. She is so quick to learn, so eager to please, so full of life and love! In an instant, she wiggled her way into my broken heart and overflows it with love every single day!

Kate the working springer spaniel
by Paul
(Lincolnshire)
Best dog in the world
Kate is the best dog I've ever owned. All my dogs were trained to the gun, and all bitches.
Kate was the easy to train the most willing to please, shes now 8 years old.
All the other dogs were labs, I've had 4 over the years , and if I could go back in time , it would be springers for me

Emma the English Springer Spaniel
by June
(Madisonville KY)
My 13 month old ESS, Emma was diagnosed with Addison's Disease this week. I don't know much about it and am completely in shock.
My vet was super nice and tried to explain it to me, but I was in a fog...I really don't remember much of what he told me. She received an injection and we are to go back for more blood work in 25 days.
My understanding is that she will have to have an injection every 4 weeks (appr.) Is anyone familiar with this? I would appreciate all comments, as I need to learn about this disease. Please keep Emma in your prayers. Thanking you in advance for info you can share.

Sadie the English Springer Spaniel
by Michele
(Florida, USA)
Sadie the English Springer Spaniel
Sadie is quite spoiled, as all dogs should be. She intends to be the dominant dog over our beautiful Casey, but Casey will not allow this to happen. Doesn't keep her from trying though! Who could resist such a lovely girl?

Inspector Dawg Spencer
Spencer, now at 11yrs old is slowing down somewhat, he is very strong willed (and stubborn) and has always had a fettish for rocks or pinecones !! In the past he's been known to pull me over as he spots one as a prized possession !! Once in his mouth it is lockjaw! and so impossible to remove ~~ Just love this photo of him as Inspector Dawg

Louie our Springer Spaniel Puppy - First day home!
by Debbie
(England)
Coming for a rest and a cuddle!
Spent the idea day exploring and playing..or rather fighting with in the case of the red ball...his toys and this is him finally sitting still..clambering up onto my knee for a cuddle.
It was the briefest of moments before he was back to racing around so I couldn't fully capture his cuteness with a better picture!

Tank our Springer Spaniel Puppy
by Maxine & David
(Ayrshire, Scotland)
hello up there!
This is our English Springer Spaniel puppy Tank when he was just 11/12 weeks old - he's nearly 6 months now and he arrived in our life after we sadly lost our first springer, Rags.
Tank loves to play with a knotted tea towel, dragging it everywhere with him and spends many happy minutes running round in circles in the park until he needs a little lie down.

Maggie my english springer spaniel
by Nancy
(Saginaw, Michigan USA)
Spontaneous Love
Maggie gives spontaneous kisses of appreciation. Without warning, she will drop whatever she is playing with, walk over to me and kiss my lips, then return to whatever she had been playing with.
When I added a braided fleece rope to a toy she had been bored with, Maggie came to me with a quick kiss of appreciation.
Today, after walking together and returning to our car, I poured water in to a travel bowl for Maggie to drink. Maggie drank most of the water, then gave a kiss to me. When we arrived home, my husband greeted us at our car, then started walking Maggie to our back yard. Suddenly she stopped and waited for me to get out of the car. She wouldn't go in to the back yard without me; as if to say, "Thanks, Mom."
In this picture, my husband is taking a picture of me with Maggie and her new toys. Suddenly, Maggie reached around with her head and gave a kiss to me. I was happy to capture her kiss on camera. I've never met such an appreciative puppy. I love seeing her happy. Maggie makes me smile.
Maggie is 8 1/2 months.

Dotty our English Springer Spaniel
by Aimee Black
(Worcestershire)
Our first beach holiday last year
Dotty is 13 months old now and is slowly becoming a well behaved springer spaniel, although as her name suggests she is still mostly a crazy little dog. We wouldn't have her any other way though!

Cassie ou Springer Spaniel
by Jacks
(Rushden. Northants)
Cassie the blue roan Sprocker!!
Cassie ....what can i say !!! Typical springer spaniel LOVES being loved and water and dirt!!I rescued her from Springer rescue in Crick Northants at 13 months old.
She came to me as a real "spoiled" baby...but not in a good way. Don't believe she had been socialize in that time with other dogs as she didn't know how to react to a waggy tail.
Now 6 on 10/4/2010 she has calmed down... that maybe because in Jan this year she lost her 161/2 year old Springer friend Dilly. The photo shown was taken yesterday 3/4/10 of one of her many walks!

Penny my English Springer Spaniel & Hannah
by Nikki
(London)
Penny our English Springer Spaniel and Hannah
Our Penny and Hannah, Penny is the Springer Spaniel.I love this picture!! It was taken last spring before we moved to London from Oxford and before Hannah passed away...:o(
However it gives me great memories and what a great place to share them. Penny is such a character, as are all springer spaniels but being her proud mum, I think she is the most beautiful springer in the whole world.......lol
Return to Love Springer Spaniels FAQsReturn to Love Springer Spaniels HomepageShe has been part of our family now for a year and a couple of months and shes brought nothing but joy...majority of time when she hasnt been naughty which is very rare, but even then you cant really be angry with her. The day we went to pick her up from her previous owner ( due to his job he couldnt give here the attention she needed} she jumped on to the back seat ready to go...lol We decided to go to swansea and stay with my parents for week with the dogs. We werent to sure at first if we should let pen off the lead because we didnt know if she would come back..lol but it was a beautiful day on the beach, hannah was trotting away ahead and penny was pulling like a train....so we threw caution to the wind! She was so excited that i dont think she knew what to do with all her energy, so she was galloping around us in massive circles...lol round an round, dizzy with excitement!! Eventually she ran out of steam...for 5 minuets...:O)

Brogue Duffy - The Springer Spaniel in the Window
by Liz Duffy
(Huntsville ontario Canada)
How Much is That Springer Spaniel In the Window?
Brogue, my English Springer Spaniel has a new trick.
Instead of barking at the door to come in when she has been outside, she has decided to jump up and peek in the window of the door. Sometimes she puts her two front paws up on the window as well. So cute!
